A new holding clamp has been added to the range of options for the Smart-Case M, L, and XL model sizes. Typical applications include hospital nurse call units, where the device needs to be within easy reach of the user, for example clamped to a bed frame, plus machine controllers, monitoring electronics, and audience participation keypads. The clamp can be extended to a maximum of 1.26". The Smart-Case is molded in off-white or black ABS, and its contoured design fits comfortably in the hand, making it suitable for hand-held electronics. The top panel has a recess for fitting a membrane or rubber keypad, and the case can be supplied ready fitted with a strain relief gland for cables of 0.13" to 0.23". For outdoor applications, sizes L and XL can be fitted with an IP 65 sealing kit. Other options include battery compartment, belt or pocket clips, infra-red versions, wall holders and a key ring for the smallest size XS. Pricing starts at $3 each.
