Heat Exchanger Dissipates 330W

Jan. 1, 2003
A new heat exchanger is capable of dissipating 330W for every degree Celsius difference between water and air entering the device. Measuring about 24" x 24"x 2.6", the Model 727 heat exchanger allows four fans to be mounted on an aluminum fan shroud.

A new heat exchanger is capable of dissipating 330W for every degree Celsius difference between water and air entering the device. Measuring about 24" x 24"x 2.6", the Model 727 heat exchanger allows four fans to be mounted on an aluminum fan shroud. Typical applications include closed-loop liquid cooling required in semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment, as well as the cooling of lasers, electronic cabinets, and other demanding applications. Tubing and all manifold circuitry are made of copper and mechanically bonded to a riffled and corrugated fin. The fin is said to provide as much as 5% more heat transfer than other flat fin designs. All joints are silver brazed to ensure maximum strength and reliability. For internal cleanliness, the 727 heat exchanger receives a 10-minute hot water flush and a 10-minute final flush using a corrosion inhibitor. THERMATRON ENGINEERING INC., Methuen, MA.
