Intended for tough, military applications, such as sensing vibrations in helicopters, the Model 8064-M10 accelerometer couples a piezoelectric seismic system with a constant-current mode signal-conditioning package. The combination delivers a nominal vibration sensitivity of 25 mV/g with a frequency range from 2 kHz to 3 kHz and an output of less than 100½. Interfacing to standard dc voltage sources requires the addition of a 4 mA constant-current series diode. Other features include a hermetically sealed, stainless-steel housing and an operating temperature range from -50¡C to 100¡C. COLUMBIA RESEARCH LABORATORIES INC., Woodlyn, PA. (800) 813-8471.
