Designed to provide low-current power cross protection of telecomm circuits, the SMP surface-mount fuse complies with Power Cross test requirements UL 1950/60950 and Belcore/Telcordia GR-1089 for tip-and-ring protection. The device can also provide high surge tolerance, as it can withstand lightning surges specified in FCC 47 Part 68. The compact, 0.38" long x 0.12" wide SMT device is well-suited for use in ISDN and analog telephones, fax machines, modems, switching line cards, and other equipment. The fuse is UL Component Recognized (File E20624) for 500 mA and 1.25A at 600 Vac/125 Vdc. It also features a power cross rating of 600 Vac at 2.2A, 7A, 40A and 60A. Opening times range from 4 hr. (min.) at 100% to 300 ms (max.) at 1,000%. The SMP fuse has an operating temperature range of -50¡C to +125¡C and costs $0.40 each/10K. BEL FUSE INC., Jersey City, NJ. (800) 235-3873.
