Suited for long-stroke applications, the LP750 Series of linear position sensors offers an excellent stroke-to-length ratio. These non-contacting sensors operate in rugged environments while delivering high performance from up to 50 in. With the ability to be almost the same length as the stroke, the LP750 Series can replace failing potentiometers in a wide range of industrial position measurement applications such as machine tool positioning, hydraulic cylinder positioning, valve position sensing and automatic assembly equipment. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, these hermetically sealed, frictionless position sensors withstand the harsh and corrosive environments found in steel mills, power plants and petrochemical plants. Their reliability and capacity to withstand high ambient temperatures make them ideal for use in applications such as position feedback of steam control valves in power plants. Macro Sensors’ LP 750 Series linear position sensors are available in standard ranges of 3.75 in. (95 mm) to 24 in. (600 mm) and are offered in three outputs including a 5-V dc input with 0.5 to 4.5-V dc output; a pre-calibrated, loop-powered 4-20 input/output; or a nominal 24-V dc input 0 to 10 V dc output.
