Standing a mere 1.6 mm high, the rugged Model H-160A crystal has a footprint of only 8 x 4.5 mm to fit disk drives, modems, peripherals, PCMCIA, and other portable products. The crystal is said to feature a tough ceramic package, resistance to moisture, and a non-epoxy glass frit hermetic seal. The internal crystal mount eliminates physical stress on the crystal blank due to thermal shock during infrared reflow processing.
