Addressing the needs of low-profile applications, the company is now offering its optoelectronic sensors in surface-mount packages, formerly available in three-pin Side-Looker packages measuring 4.8-mm high. The TSL250/251RD and TSL260/261 are the first light-to-voltage converters to come in an eight-pin SOIC package standing 1.8 mm in height. The devices host a photodiode and a transimpedance amplifier and are also said to have improved amplifier offset-voltage stability and lower power consumption. Price is $1.54 each/1,000.
