Designed for wireless Internet networking applications, the SMV2565A voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) generates frequencies between 2435 and 2675 MHz with a control-voltage range of 1.0 to 3.5 V dc. It boasts a small size (0.3 by 0.3 by 0.08 in.) and low power consumption (16 mA at 4 V). Other specifications include a spectral purity of 83 dBc/Hz typical at 10 kHz from the carrier, an operating-temperature range of 40°C to 85°C, and 6±3 dBm of output power into 50 Ω. Suppression of second harmonics is better than 10 dBc.
