The DS1088L EconOscillator all-silicon oscillator comes with a single-output square-wave generator. It's factory-trimmed for output frequencies from 312 kHz to 133 MHz, with an initial tolerance of ±0.3% (at 3.3 V and 258C). Accuracy over the full operating range of 2.7 to 3.6 V and 20°C to 85°C is 1.0%. Housed in an eight-pin microMAX package, it's 75% smaller than a 133-MHz crystal oscillator and requires 45% less supply current. Also, oscillation startup is nearly three orders of magnitude faster. It replaces crystal oscillators in applications where size, power, startup reliability, and shock/vibration tolerance are critical. Cost is $45 each in 10,000-unit lots.
