Flourtown, PA-A new process for printing on silicone keypads that reportedly ensures excellent ink adhesion, consistent registration, and outstanding wear characteristics without using a clear coat layer has been developed by Motson Co. The custom-engineered process is available for printing a wide range of silicone keypad configurations in durable, crisp letters, numbers, and symbols and in a variety of colors. Tests run on silicone keypads printed with the new process showed the pads to withstand more than one million actuations without showing significant wear. The process can be used to print onto concave and convex surfaces, as well as on flat keypads. Prototype through production runs are available.
