For multi-mode or single-mode applications, these cables use Envirotight connectors that are sealed front and back to protect fiber from moisture or other harsh environments. Testing performed successfully on assemblies include thermal cycling of -55°C to 85°C and 40°C, 95% RH at 1520 torr pressure immersion in water with indicator dye, immersion in ph11 fluid and cable retention of 25 lb. Cables are for use in chemical processing, marine environments and situations where exposure to these conditions might be expected. Used with bulkhead coupling adapters, these assemblies can function as feedthroughs.
