CompactFlash Reader Supports Linux

Expanding upon its ImageMate family of CompactFlash, SmartMedia and MultiMedia card readers, the company's new reading device is claimed to be the first such reading device on the market to support Linux and MicroDrive cards. The new reader is available in both USB and parallel-port versions and is compatible with Windows 2000.
According to the company, the new device is easier to set up, performs 25% faster, and costs less than its predecessor in the series. In addition to the the card reader, the company has introduced two more new ImageMates for SmartMedia and MultiMedia cards and a FlashPath floppy-disk adapter for MultiMedia cards. These new devices are also Windows 2000 compatible and are available for use with either the USB or parallel port.
Pricing for the new Linux-compatible reader is $30. Pricing for the ImageMate series ranges from $30 to $50.
