The ElectroPad fabric-over-foam EMI shielding gaskets are now available in standard die cut shapes to fit ATX and NLX I/O connector configurations and personal computers. Also offered as standard are a range of flat gaskets and D-connector gaskets. The gaskets are offered with standard neoprene cores (8577 Series) or low-density urethane foam cores (8570 Series) that reduce pressure forces to less than 1.5 psi at 20% deflection. They are available in either silver-plated nylon or nickel-copper-plated polyester fabric with a protective coating that provides galvanic compatibility with aluminum, stainless steel, and other commonly used most materials. Tests are said to indicate no loss of shielding effectiveness after 10,000 cycles. The gaskets can be die cut for custom applications and supplied with pressure-sensitive adhesive backing.
