TVSs Protect Ethernet Ports

Jan. 1, 2001
Designed to protect Ethernet data ports against charged cable, ESD and EFT transients, the PSLC03 and PSLC03C series of low capacitance transient voltage suppressors (TVSs) are bidirectional devices used for common mode protection from line to ground.

Designed to protect Ethernet data ports against charged cable, ESD and EFT transients, the PSLC03 and PSLC03C series of low capacitance transient voltage suppressors (TVSs) are bidirectional devices used for common mode protection from line to ground. The TVSs feature an insertion loss of less than -5 dB at 1 GHz, span voltages of from 3.3V to 24V, and offer ESD protection greater than 25 kV. Peak pulse power is 175W for an 8/20 µs waveshape. Designed to meet and exceed IEC 61000-4-2 and 61000-4-4 surge requirements, the PSLC03 and PSLC03C devices are priced at $0.48 and $0.51, respectively, each/60,000.
