A compact, portable thermal printer, the new DP-H245 features an optional RF transceiver for wireless printing. According to the company, the printer is ideally suited for field testing, warehousing, medical diagnostics, auto ID, and point-of-sale applications that require superior print quality in a small package.The DPU-H245 measures just 135 mm x 100 mm x 36 mm and is equipped with a rechargeable NiMH battery, which can print 8,000 character lines on a single charge. It has a print resolution of 384 dots/line at a print speed of up to 50 mm/s in a 2" paper width. A choice of 14-pin parallel or 9-pin serial data input is available. The RF option connects via an RS-232C port. With it, the DPU-H245 can do remote printing at a distance of 500' to 1,500' indoors, as well as two miles (line of sight) with an omni-directional antenna or 12 miles (line of sight) with a directional antenna.
