Said to achieve timing accuracies as low as 1 ppm, the Series EF temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) provide a highly accurate reference for precise GPS positioning, as well as for standalone communications devices, such as cell phones, PDAs, mobile equipment, and wireless base stations. The oscillators deliver two output signal formats: clipped sine at 0.8V and HCMOS square waves with 40/60 waveform symmetry. The Series EF TCXOs are built in a 4-pad surface-mount package measuring 21 mm x 11.7 mm x 7.62 mm. Available for frequencies from 1.2 to 40 MHz, the oscillators can be supplied for 3.3V or 5V operation. Users can select temperature stabilities of ±1, ±1.5, ±2.5 and ±5 ppm and four different working temperatures between -10¡C to 60¡C and -40¡C to 85¡C. Oscillator frequency may be user trimmed with mechanical adjustment to ±3 ppm or with electrical control voltage adjustment to ±10 ppm. Aging at 25¡C is 1 ppm/yr. maximum. The EF Series is priced below $8 each in OEM quantities. MF ELECTRONICS CORP., New Rochelle, NY. (800) 331-1236.
