A new line of prepolarized, array and precision condenser microphones has been developed in 1/4" and 1/2" diameter sizes. The prepolarized microphones operate from one of the company’s sensor power supplies and are designed for use in applications such as sound power testing, engine and outdoor noise monitoring, and acoustic chamber testing. Series 130 array microphones also operate from a sensor power supply and are useful in making, for example, large channel-count sound-pressure measurements. External free-field microphones, in turn, are said to have an exceptionally low sensitivity to severe humidity and temperature conditions, with a probe-style unit with a 1-mm probe tip available for use, for example, in small enclosures.
