Suited for use in telecomm, instrumentation and industrial control systems, The PVT412A Series microelectronic relays (MERs) have two times more load current capability at ±400V off-state blocking with less than one-quarter on-resistance than previous MERs. The new electronic relays are said to provide significant gains in operational life and reliability compared to electromechanical relays, with smaller size and higher sensitivity. The devices are rated for ac/dc load switching applications up to 240 Vac and 300 Vdc at 240 mA and dc-only loads up to 300V at 360 mA. Price for the MERs ranges from $2.00 to $2.08 each/10,000.
