Enabling use as either a two-line unidirectional common-mode or single bidirectional differential-mode transient voltage protector and available in 15V or 36V versions, the PSOT15KCA/36KCA is suitable for applications such protecting RS-232, RS-422

Enabling use as either a two-line unidirectional common-mode or single bidirectional differential-mode transient voltage protector and available in 15V or 36V versions, the PSOT15KCA/36KCA is suitable for applications such protecting RS-232, RS-422 and RS-423 data lines, sensor I/O ports, 12 and 33 Vdc power, and industrial control systems. The new transient voltage suppressor (TVS) meet IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD, ±15 kV air discharge), 61000-4-4 (EFT, 40A 5/50 ns waveform), and 61000-4-5 (lightning surge) transient environments, with a peak pulse power rating of 300W (8/20 µs waveform). The TVS comes in a SOT-23 package and costs $0.25 each/1,000. For more information, contact David Hutchins at PROTEK DEVICES, Tempe, AZ. (602) 414-5107.
