Intended for clock, sleep mode and other timing-related activities in cell phones, PDAs and other portable digital products, the CC7V-T1A miniature tuning fork crystal has a 3.2 mm x 1.5 mm footprint and 0.85 mm height and is said to offer high stability, low aging, low power dissipation, and high shock and vibration resistance specs. And an innovative crystal design reportedly makes possible a relatively low ESR in this tiny ceramic package. The crystals are supplied in 200-device trays or 3,000-, 8,000- or 16,000-piece 12-mm tape reels. Prices start at $1.50 each/1,000.
