Where the source of RFI/EMI is confined to particularly noisy or sensitive components, designers have the option of shielding the individual components inside enclosures by housing them in Micro RF boxes. The boxes are designed to eliminate the need to shield the entire enclosure. The new Micro boxes are available with deep or shallow bottom parts and in twelve sizes from 1.99" x 1.24" x 0.37" to 2.50" x 1.73" x 0.68". They are made of a solderable electrolytic tin-plated mild steel and are supplied with a dished lid. The RF boxes can also be fabricated from hot tin-plated mild steel.
