The PI6050C is a contact image sensor with a scanning resolution of either 600 or 1,200 dpi, selectable via a single input. In addition, multiple sensors can be cascaded end-to-end to create an extended length, contact image sensing (CIS) module. The device measures 14,560 µm x 425 µm with a pixel-to-pixel spacing of approximately 21.15 µm. It provides 688 active pixels, multiplexing switches, buffers, and an output amplifier with power-down and parallel integrate, transfer, and hold functions. Other features include pixel-to-pixel offset cancellation, a chip-to-chip uniformity of ±10%, maximum pixel rate of 3 MHz, and an operating voltage of 5V.
