Debuting as the first member of the Emerald family of CMOS image sensors, the ICM130E employs the company?s wide acceptance angle EmeraldPixel 3.45 µm pixel technology. The 1.3 Mpixel sensor provides a 25° acceptance angle to incoming light that allows designers to create a finished module measuring less than 6.5 mm in height. It integrates a 1,280 x 1,024 sensor array operating at up to 30 fps at full SXGA resolution and at progressively higher frame rates operating at sub-sampled VGA and QVGA. Power consumption is rated at 99 mW (SXGA at 15 fps) and 50 µW in power down mode. Registers are programmed using a two-wire, serial-control interface to control operating modes. Other programmable features include exposure time, frame rate, sub sampling, window size, analog and digital gain, horizontal and vertical inversion, and dead pixel removal.
