Accommodating safe measurement of hydrogen and other gases, while reducing the number of necessary components, the Model 5000 wet/wet differential pressure sensor does not contain internal O-rings or fluid-filled cavities, eliminating the chance of hydrogen permeation or system contamination from silicone oil. Its diaphragm consists of 316L stainless-steel wetted materials that resist hydrogen embrittlement. The design also provides over-range and burst protection to five times the rated line pressure or 2,000 psi, whichever is less. Other features include CE EN61326 approval, 100 V/m of EMI/RFI protection, and a stainless steel housing over the electronics to maintain an IP-66 rating. Bi-directional and uni-directional pressure ranges are available for applications with line pressures up to 1,000 psi as well as voltage and current outputs with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
