Providing a greater range of switch designs with extended actuation force and mechanical life, the company expands its tactile-switch offerings with a series of devices with square stems (SWT8 Series) and three additional components in the sealed product group (SWTW Series). In addition to these, the 6.2 mm x 6.2 mm SWT6 series tactile switch family now includes a 100,000-mechanical-cycle version. The SWT8 Series switches measure 6.2 mm x 6.2 mm with a 2.4-mm or 2.8-mm square stem; actuation forces range from 100 gf to 520 gf. Available configurations include SWT8-R side actuation through-hole, SWT8-V top actuation through-hole, and SWT8-M top actuation surface mount. The SWTW Series sealed switches now includes the SWTW-S side actuation surface mount 6.2 mm x 6.2 mm switch, SWTW-K top actuation through-hole switch in an 8 mm x 8 mm configuration, and the SWTW-R side actuation through-hole switch in an 8 mm x 8 mm configuration.
