Requiring no assembly, the company's second-generation AdvancedTCA handle embarks as a one-piece component employing two screws for installation. According to the company, most ATCA handles have several small components that may be tricky and time-consuming to assemble. The company makes its handle's alignment pin a part of the handle mold, which allegedly makes it more sturdy and increases drop-test survivability. Additionally, the handle is engages/disengages with a unique slide-motion approach that prevents the handle from accidental tripping or damage. The slide-motion switch pops the handles open about 30° and activates the micro-switch. This allows the user to grab the handle easily and maximize leverage. ELMA ELECTRONIC INC., Fremont, CA.
