Targeting portable designs, the NUP4016 and the ESD11L5.0D ESD-protection arrays provide a 20% lower profile than the company’s previous devices and specify a typical capacitance of 0.5 pF and low clamping voltages. Measuring 1 mm x 1 mm x 0.4 mm, the NUP4016 protects four data lines and exhibits a capacitance of 0.5 pF per I/O line. In a 1 mm x 0.6 mm x 0.37 package, the ESD11L5.0D protects two high-speed data lines and exhibits a capacitance of 0.5 pF. The device can also connect cathode to cathode to protect a single bi-directional line at 0.25 pF, making it suitable for protecting RF antenna lines. Both devices are capable of clamping an input ESD waveform of 15 kV to less than 8V in a matter of nanoseconds.
