Said to be foul proof with a long service life, the EGT exhaust temperature sensor features an enclosed probe tip that permits operation in bio-fuel and diesel engine applications. Made from Inconel and 316SS materials, the type K thermocouple can withstand extreme conditions, making it suitable for use in R&D and testing as well as other applications in the agricultural, marine, and automotive industries. The component is capable of surviving extreme vibration and heat up to +1,200?C. Measuring 4.75 mm in diameter, the probe fits most diesel engine exhaust systems from 19 mm to 100 mm in diameter with nominal installation modifications. A 90?bend to the probe accommodates tight-spaced mounting locations. Additionally, the component comes with an adjustable (316 stainless steel), 0.125-inch NPT compression fitting adapter.
