Part of the Strikesorb family, the company’s latest surge protection device (SPD) provides continuous protection from lightning strikes, temporary overvoltage events, and transient voltage activity in medical facilities and for the equipment therein. Like other Strikesorb modules, it provides uninterrupted protection, resists repeated surges, and does not experience physical or performance degradation over time. Employing a fuse-less design, the module is capable of withstanding short-circuit currents, allowing direct installation on bus bars without the need to install additional fuses or interconnection wires. Modules are available in two variations: a 40-mm with a 140 kA (8/20) rating and an 80-mm module rated at 200 kA (8/20) according to NEMA LS-1-1992.
