Low-Noise Sensors Shine In Low-Frequency Microgram Range

Designed for use in seismic and low-level, low-frequency motion studies, the Models SA-107LN, SA-207LN, and SA-307LN servo accelerometers are highly sensitive, ultra low-noise sensors. The SA-107LN is a single-axis unit and the SA-207LN, and SA-307LN are two- and three-axis units, respectively. On all units, low-noise electronics are combined with the force balance principle to make possible measurements in the low-frequency microgram range. Aside from the traditional dc-coupled zero output, these accelerometers provide ac-coupled zero output which eliminates tilt-induced or offset errors facilitating high amplification of the basic output. These self-contained accelerometers provide high-level, low-impedance outputs. No signal conditioning is required in most applications. The units offer ±15-V dc operation and are available in a choice of package styles. The SA-107LN, SA-207LN and SA-307LN accelerometers perform extremely well in applications such as floor vibration, building motion, seismic detection, antenna stabilization, and earthquake monitoring.
