MicroTCA Chassis Are Small Yet Rugged
Expanding the company’s MicroTCA offerings are several compact and rugged models adding to its VME, CompactPCI, and VPX chassis product lines. The latest ATR chassis employ a machined box construction, enabling them to conform to MIL-STD specs including 810F Methods 514.5, 513.5, 516.5, 507.4, and 509.4 for vibration, acceleration, shock, humidity, and salt fog, respectively. They also adhere to 167 Type 1, Para. 5.1 for vibration, 901D lightweight hammer for shock, and 461D for EMI. An optional shock-isolated card cage is also available. Configurable to ARINC 404A, each MicroTCA enclosure can include a 10-slot backplane, air- or conduction-cooling, and comes in a variety of sizes with customizable I/O.
