Flexible Circuits Maintain Mechanical And Signal Integrity

The Flexible Connections series flexible circuit assemblies and PCB connectors promise to preserve system performance with mechanical and signal integrity.

The Flexible Connections series flexible circuit assemblies and PCB connectors promise to preserve system performance with mechanical and signal integrity. The series includes flex assemblies, fine-pitch jumpers, high-density BGA-based flex assemblies, and rigid flexes using press-fit backplane connectors. Some of their benefits include signal routing contained in flat 2D spaces to improve ventilation and the natural mechanical forgiveness of flex circuitry that reduces stress on surface-mount solder joints. Allegedly, the flex assemblies reduce manufacturing complexity and costs and the low-density flex materials reduce overall system weight. Rolled annealed copper construction supports repeated movement and vibration in dynamic applications. FCI USA INC., Etters, PA. (800) 237-2374.
