Pressure Sensors Exploit Digital Interfaces

May 11, 2010
Employing both SPI and I2C digital interfaces, the MS5607-B altimeter pressure sensors provide a wide measurement range from 10 to 1,200 mbar and are temperature-compensated for a range of -40 degrees C to +85 degrees C.

Employing both SPI and I2C digital interfaces, the MS5607-B altimeter pressure sensors provide a wide measurement range from 10 to 1,200 mbar and are temperature-compensated for a range of -40°C to +85°C. Operating from a 1.8V to 3.6V supply, the sensor module includes a high linearity pressure sensor and a low-power, 24-bit ADC with internal factory calibrated coefficients. A temperature output is also included. Measuring  5 mm x 3 mm x 1 mm, the MS5607-B can be interfaced to virtually any microcontroller. Samples are available for approximately $16 each with production orders beginning in June. SERVOFLO CORP., Lexington, MA. (866) 830-9572.
