Digital Servo Inclinometers Raise Precision Bars

June 18, 2010
The DSIC series single- and dual-axis digital servo inclinometers deliver RS-485, ASCII digital outputs and integrate active temperature compensation.

Promising high levels of precision, the DSIC series single- and dual-axis digital servo inclinometers deliver RS-485, ASCII digital outputs and integrate active temperature compensation. They specify a total error band of 0.08° from a true input angle at any temperature and any angle over an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. Available in ranges of ±15° to ±60° and rugged to 1,500g mechanical shock, the components employ a servo-inclinometer element and 19-bit a/d conversion capabilities to sense inclination with near zero hysteresis and a better than 0.001° resolution. Other features include dynamic filtering, output bandwidth ranges configurable to 20 Hz, and options for custom connectors and electrical filters. SHERBORNE SENSORS INC., Wyckoff, NJ.
