Designed for flow rate monitoring or metering applications, the RFO RotorFlow Series flow sensors output a pulsed dc voltage that is proportional to the flow rate. A unique feature is a paddlewheel that provides visual verification to confirm flow. As liquid passes through the RFO body, a magnetic rotor spins at a rate proportional to flow. The magnetic fields turning with the rotor excite a Hall Effect sensor and generate a series of voltage pulses. The output pulse voltage (4.5 to 24 Vdc) is equivalent to the input with a frequency proportional to the flow rate.
