Designed for flow rate monitoring or metering applications, the RFO RotorFlow Series flow sensors output a pulsed dc voltage that is proportional to the flow rate. A unique feature is a paddlewheel that provides visual verification to confirm flow. As liquid passes through the RFO body, a magnetic rotor spins at a rate proportional to flow. The magnetic fields turning with the rotor excite a Hall Effect sensor and generate a series of voltage pulses. The output pulse voltage (4.5 to 24 Vdc) is equivalent to the input with a frequency proportional to the flow rate. The sensors are available in 0.25” to 1” port sizes and monitor flow rates from 0.1 to 60 gpm. Accuracy depends on model and flow range. GEMS SENSORS & CONTROLS, Plainville, CT. (800) 378-1600.
