Embarking as the first VGA sensor to employ backside illumination (BSI) technology, the 1/13-inch OV7727 eyes the ultra-thin notebook market, enabling camera modules with Z-heights as low as 2.2 mm. It employs a 1.75-mm OmniBSI pixel and delivers a low-light performance of 1,300 mV/lux-sec. Providing full frame, sub-sampled windowed or scaled eight-bit/10-bit images in RAW RGB format over a parallel DVP interface or serial MIPI port, other features include automatic exposure control, gamma correction, automatic white balance control, and defect pixel correction.
