The Type 40PS surface microphone integrates a constant-current power (CCP) preamplifier and TEDS capabilities.

The Type 40PS surface microphone integrates a constant-current power (CCP) preamplifier and TEDS capabilities. Targeting general-purpose, larger-channel count acoustic measurements on typical planar and curvilinear surfaces, the Type 40PS requires no microphone holders or stands. It mounts directly on the surface of interest. Specs include a nominal sensitivity of 5 mV/Pa at 250 Hz), a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and a dynamic range less than 30 dBA to 136 dB over an operating temperature range from -20ºC to +80ºC with low sensitivity to base bending.
