Expanding the SKYFLEX family of aerospace materials are gaskets for multi-face aircraft applications such as hole liners, flange joints, fastener seals, and galley or restroom hard-mounts. All SKYFLEX aerospace materials do not require any curing time, which reduces downtime and eases replacement during component maintenance. Available in diameters from 3 mm to 150 mm, the gaskets form to each user’s dimensions and they install without any special equipment or facilities. They employ expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) that enables them to last longer without hardening or becoming brittle. As a chemically inert, thermally stable material, ePTFE withstands harsh conditions encountered in aerospace environments. W. L. Gore & Associates Inc., Newark, DE. (888) 914-4673.
