VSRTs Prevent Battery Demise

July 15, 2011
Promising to prevent dead batteries in utility and fleet vehicles, the FlexMod voltage sensing relay and timer (VSRT) conserves the starting power of a vehicle battery by shutting off auxiliary loads when either starting voltage drops to a low level or a pre-set timer times out.

Promising to prevent dead batteries in utility and fleet vehicles, the FlexMod voltage sensing relay and timer (VSRT) conserves the starting power of a vehicle battery by shutting off auxiliary loads when either starting voltage drops to a low level or a pre-set timer times out. It measures 4”x3”x1” and specifies a service life exceeding 1,000,000 on/off cycles. The component has a rating of 10A and can handle many loads directly or drive a relay or solenoid for higher amperages. Over-voltage and over-current protective measures are also on tap.
