The company’s latest Quantum Well Infrared Photodetector (QWIP) sensor is designed for detection of the strong greenhouse gas, sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), common to power stations. The 320x256 detector has its peak wave length at 10.55m. The company can tailor the peak wave length of the detector to meet requirements for detection of several different gases. These detectors can be used in gas and oil industry and for monitoring pipelines with stationary as well as airborne camera systems. It can be supplied focal plane array as well as integrated into a detector dewar cooler assembly. The detector needs to be cooled to below 60K.
