Equipped with a universal input range of 90 to 350 V dc, ABSOPULSE Electronics’ PFD 120 dc-dc converters are designed for a variety of solar and other alternative power-generation applications. Their wide input range offers solutions for 110-, 125-, 250-, and 300-V dc input requirements with a single unit. The converters’ dual-conversion topology delivers up to 120-W output power. Available outputs, all tightly regulated and isolated, include 12, 24, 48, 110, and 125 V dc. A built-in redundancy diode enables parallel and N+1 operation, or connection to a backup battery. Compact 114- by 51- by 201-mm chassis-mount enclosures feature robust mechanical construction and conformal coating of all printed circuits, ensuring immunity to shock, vibration, and moisture. Operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50°C. Minimum full-load efficiency is 80%, depending on the I/O configuration. In addition to alternative power, the units are suitable for rugged industrial environments.
