Avnet Abacus now has a pan-European agreement with Abracon to distribute its quartz crystals, crystal oscillators, and resonators. Amongst the newest Abracon products to be offered by Avnet Abacus is a family of ultra-low-power, real-time clock (RTC) ICs in 3- by 3-mm quad flat no-lead (QFN) packages. The AB08XX and AB18XX are intended for applications where timekeeping is required with less than 60-nA current consumption. Both devices come with either SPI or I2C interfaces with up to 256 bytes of on-board RAM. An on-board power switch controls the power port of the system processor, eliminating leakage currents.
