The CUS250LD ac-dc power-supply series can generate 250 W of output power using convection-cooling technology. As a result, there’s no need for fan maintenance. TDK-Lambda’s latest supplies, which feature a low 1.8-in. profile and compact footprint of 4.0 by 7.8 in., reduce acoustic noise and vibrations. They operate from a universal input of 85 to 264 V ac, 47 to 63 Hz, with power factor correction. The units also can operate from a 120- to 370-V dc input.  Input-to-output withstand voltage is 3 kV ac. Available output voltages include 3.3, 4.2, 5, 12, or 24 V dc, all with a ±10% user-adjustable range. Convection-cooled operating temperature ranges from −25 to +70°C with derating above +40°C. Power-saving efficiency pushes to 90%. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection is included. A green LED indicator lights when the supply is on. Applications include light industrial, LED signage, communications, broadcast, gaming, IT, and test and measurement equipment.
