Incremental Encoders Come In Subminiature 18-mm Housing
Designed for use in space-restricted, rotary-motion monitoring applications, the BSM shaft and BHM hollow-shaft incremental encoders incorporate a uniquely engineered reflexive-reading pulse disk said to make them high-performance sensors in a subminiature, 18-mm housing. Both components feature dense integration and opto-ASICs that allow angle-step resolutions up to 2,000 steps per revolution.Electrical output signals are short-circuit protected and accessible through an axial socket. With a maximum limit frequency of 100 kHz, both encoders are available with an extended temperature range of -20ûC to 85ûC. The BHM has a shaft diameter of 1.5 to 3 mm and the BSM offers a shaft diameter of 4 mm with an adaptable 2-mm hollow shaft. For further information, call BAUMER ELECTRIC, LTD., Southington, CT.
