Combining the smooth operation of a five-phase hybrid stepping motor with a high resolution microstepping driver, the Nanostep CFKII series of miniature hybrid motors measure 0.79 in. sq., weigh only 0.11 lb., and can produce 3.2 oz.-in. of holding torque. These motor and driver packages create a microstepping motor system with extremely low velocity vibration. Position accuracy of up to ±0.17° is available. The series is also available in four additional high torque motor frame sizes: 1.1, 1.65, 2.36 and 3.35 in. sq. The open frame modular driver provides 16 user selectable resolution settings up to 125,000 steps/revolution. The open loop driver has a special mid-frequency resolution suppression circuit and operates on 24 Vdc with currents of 1A per phase to drive and control the CFKII miniature motors.
