This line of three-phase brushless dc controllers incorporate insulated metal substrate (IMS) material to enhance their power density. Three standard versions are available in 5-, 10- and 20-A current ratings. The controls can operate from 11 to 52 Vdc and offer over-temperature sensing, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and current limit shutdown protection features. Other features include 60° or 120° selectable electrical spacing, tach output, and forward/reverse selectable operation. The controllers also have a speed control that is set either through a potentiometer or a 0- to 5-Vdc analog input. The 20-A motor controller provides a breaking function.
