Providing an accuracy of 0.001 inch, these slides use conventional hardened steel, rod-type raceways and a line of balls. They also employ an elastomer spine and shock-absorbing back-up gib to provide an even and continuous preload while minimizing problems related to impact and shock over the life of the bearing. The 0.001-inch accuracy is usually more than adequate for most applications. Load handling ranges from 20 to 85 lb.
