Specifically designed to house controls for motors and auxiliary equipment in hazardous locations, the new XIFC series of explosion-proof electron control enclosure includes 17 model sizes from 3" x 3" x 3" deep to 7" x 7" x 4" deep. Design improvements include optional gasketing for NEMA type 4 protection against driven water, dust and ice formation. Cover customization is possible using any of a variety of devices. The series offers expanded flexibility in the location of conduit openings. All units are constructed of cast, copper-free aluminum with heavy wall thickness to accommodate installation of control devices and conduit connections and integral, cast-on, slotted mounting lugs.
