A series of 1200V DCB modules is rated from 35A to 75A and comes packaged in the industry-compatible Vario Pack that can be used with other modules without mechanical constraints. The companion FRED diodes are optimized for high-frequency inverter operation by combining low forward voltage with a soft and fast reverse recovery. The low reverse-recovery current of the FRED diodes also reduces the turn-on losses in the IGBT chips. These six-pack modules, along with companion input bridges, allow construction of motor drives for power ratings from 3 to 30 kW with or without a dynamic brake chopper.
