The latest addition to the SmartMotors line, the SM2315DT, employs an 8-pole rotor design with a higher copper-filling factor than previous models. This helps the new motor achieve higher energy density and better efficiency that results in up to twice the torque capacity in the same physical package size. Similar to existing SmartMotors, the SM2315DT employs a patented design that integrates a servomotor, amplifier, and motion controller into one frame. Replicating standard NEMA 23 frame dimensions, it delivers as much as 112 oz.-in. of peak torque while maintaining as much as 57 oz.-in. of continuous torque with a maximum speed of 4,700 rpm.
